I need your help. Well my tv is busted so going out to get a new one Probably this one Now to just clarify before I make the jump to the checkout. I also have a surround sound system which is through the AV amplifier. Now if I want to get the lush 1080p I'll have to connect my ps3, 360, sky straight to the tv as the amp only outputs to 1080i :@ Let's make the scenario: I connect my PS3 via HDMI into the tv thus getting a 1080p image. As I know HDMI carries not only video but also audio. If I then Put a optical cable into the tv output then into the amp, would it give sound through my amp and not the tv? |

Yes it does, but If I were to have the HDMI into the tv then the Optical into the Amp. Which cable would dominate audio output?
